About Dr. Ramappa

Preeti Ramappa is a board-certified Invasive Cardiologist and a Clinical Associate Professor at Wayne State University. Dr. Ramappa provides patient care at our Troy location on Saturdays.

Dr. Ramappa earned her medical degree at the University of Mysore, India. She later moved to Michigan and completed her Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology Fellowship at Wayne State University. Since graduation in 2007, she has worked as an Invasive Cardiologist at the John D. Dingell Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) and served as the Chief of Cardiology between 2008 and 2013. 

She continues to be a full-time faculty member at the Detroit VAMC.  She recently trained in advanced cardiac imaging; primarily focusing on cardiac MRI. She serves as a teacher and mentor for Detroit Medical Center of Wayne State University students, residents, and cardiology fellows. Dr. Ramappa is an Associate Program Director at the Detroit VAMC in the Cardiology Fellowship Program-DMC.

Dr. Ramappa has more than a decade of clinical experience in treating complex cardiovascular diseases in the Detroit area. She has a passion for preventive cardiology. Her primary goal is to practice evidence-based medicine with honesty and integrity.
